ReadyKids
Inside Out Counseling helps kids and families who have experienced trauma begin the healing process. The Inside Out program has been growing at a very fast pace. The Manning Family Foundation has a multi-year grant with ReadyKids which added two new Spanish-speaking counseling positions to the staff. As a result, the wait time to see a counselor has decreased dramatically.

Blue Ridge Area Food Bank
The Food Bank is driven by their core beliefs that hunger is unacceptable; that everyone deserves access to enough food; that food sustains life and nourishes health, and that we are called to serve neighbors in need without judgement. The Manning Family Foundation is a long-time supporter and for the past several years have directed our funds to the Agency Capacity Fund which helps the pantries make needed changes and improvements to reach more people, and better serve guests.

City of Promise
Research shows that a child’s success in school is linked to their parents’ level of educational attainment. City of Promise’s Family Empowerment programs offer a dual-generation strategy for academic achievement. The family literacy workshops and activities enable parents to reach important self-sufficiency goals as they learn and grow together with their children.
